Hello!
I am Sara-Duana, a political ecologist, cultural producer, educator, researcher, and storyteller working between urbanism, art, fiction, and conservation.
Drawing from a diverse background, I have conceived and directed socio-cultural, artistic, and educational projects in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia for over a decade.
I’m also a writer and editor, and teach seminars and workshops with a keen interest for the space in which society, nature, and culture intersect.
I also co-founded a digital archive for traditional & sustainable alternatives to single-use plastic.
In 2020, my calling to contribute to a just, peaceful, and socio-ecologically balanced future led me back to grad school. I now hold two Master’s degrees, one in Literature & Culture Studies, and one in Political Ecology & Sustainable Development, which represent the cornerstones of my work and research focus.
I am interested in initiating and advancing regenerative practices from urbanism to agriculture.
I have lived, worked, and taught in a variety of places such as Germany, Egypt, France, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Iraq, Italy, Bali, or Costa Rica, to name but a few - all have at times been challenging and enriching. In the past couple of years I've been living and working almost exclusively nomadically.
